The Ashfield Seed to Saucepan project is coming to an end. We have learnt much and engaged with many people. We hope to run events and workshops in the future using the same staff that you have met here. We would like to thank the Seed to Saucepan staff for their work over the past two years and everyone who has attended one of their workshops for their support.
Our Seed to Saucepan project is a 3 year pilot project which is based at Ashfield Community Enterprise, Howey nr Llandod which is funded by the EU through Arwain, based here in Powys.
We are growing from Seeds bringing produce out of our garden & into the Saucepan, offering training, workshops & courses with our Horticulturalist Lucy to grow from seed, moving then into the kitchen with our Chef Suzanne to learn various ways of cooking the fresh produce we have grown or that you may bring along.
We aim to create a ‘growers hub’ to use surplus foods grown locally & here in the allotments and areas pinpointed for the Seed to Saucepan project & create partnerships with Ashfield & relationships with other local growers to come together & share/swap & cook produce in times the season creates surplus produce.
